I think that reason for the poor performance of USRX and Levy's downgrade is the following:

USRX really stressed their modem business, not their systems business. I know Levy believed that USRX should be considered more than a modem company, but the conference call seem to suggest that their systems business was not as strong as modems.

Levy as always maintained that USRX should be considered a networker, not a modem maker. I guess he was disappointed with USRX's answers.
