RE: Stop loss order on AOL:
First off, thanks for all the responses!
Pruguy:you say you are a long term investor Sorry, Pruguy, I am in the market long term, not any particular stock! I will own Microsoft and Cisco until the basic story changes, but I would leave AOL or Dell in a "New York Minute" if they don't hit their numbers. I use the "Russian Army" method, reinforce success. That is why I have increased AOL and MSFT this year, and decreased Dell when they went "flat".
KG4:10% is nothing for a stock like AOL. Hell, 15-20% is nothin on AOL.
Mark Kubo:According to MarketEdge TA site, the mean daily volatility of AOL is 5.2%
If Mark is right, KG4, I am at about twice mean daily volatility. I may change to 15% under instead of 10%.
Jinxed3D:this is a losers strategy.
Ahh, this is the sticking point, Jinxed! Am I right? Time will tell!
