Did anybody see CBC-TV Business World Christmas Eve? One of the most respected experts on the TSE companies was commenting on the Nasdaq Internet E-Commerce companies. He said "UBID should be given a LUMP OF COAL in their Christmas stocking". Such comments gives a very bad impression of E-commerce stocks. That comment got me thinking, despite the Bungi-jumps and wild swings during the week for UBID, they still had a major gain up + Cnd. $105.00/share in this special 3 1/2 day Christmas Week. I then scanned through the long list of TSE companies and added up all those on the plus side. I covered well over 1/2 of the TSE companies before it totaled Cnd. $105.00. What company on the TSE had a gain topping in over Cdn. $100.00/share IN A YEAR, let alone 3 1/2 days??? And UBID deserves a lump of coal??? It makes one wonder are our Canadian stock experts tuned in, to the E-Commerce boom.????
