I have friends that short the nets and get hurts badly ... If you long, it is less expensive to average down ... If you are short and get caught, it is much more expensive to average up ... so even there is a tremendous potential and a lot of times it is really fast to make money on the short side, but I never find the risk/reward ratio very favored ... I can live with losing the premium on my puts, but you short and they gap up in the open, you are not going to be a happy camper ...
