Paul V,

"...My question is, Will the y2k problem create us topping our two months sooner than the past common topping which seems to be August in past years?..."

Ever since I can remember, the Market does not Top in Spring; it does in Summer/Fall (remember Falling Leaves)... So if we find AMAT above 100 in May, then the stock should continue Upwards to 150, get's split to 75 reflecting the higher premium being afforded the stock. Stocks being afforded higher premiums now are the likes of MSFT, INTC, DELL etc, that start all over again above 60 after each split.

Let's remember that in each Bull-Market, AMAT and its group are the last to participate; the Market always wait for them. By the time AMAT is posting its second record quarter earnings, investors would be saying:---"AMAT has finally arrived, is there somebody else coming?..."
