As the followers of these pages know, the group of 41 semi-equips had a tremendous run from 10/9/98 to 12/4/98, a period of 8 weeks. The group sum gained 90 percent. In the same period the SOX-X was up 72 percent. During the last 3 weeks of December, however, the group has been essentially "marking time" with a loss of 3 percent. The same thing has been happening to the SOX-X - it has gained 1 percent in the same period.
