I've got stopped out before but I have also come out ahead on a stop-buy.

I agree that stop buy orders are useful and profitable. I was previously discussing the pitfalls of stop loss orders.
Big difference from stop buys
.
Another point, some people don't realize stop loss orders turn into market orders when triggered. The orders may actually place several points below the specified stop loss orders.
