Hi Chris, Maybe my critical thinking skills are getting the best of me, and I'm sure there are times when one can be too rational, but let me tell you what automatically causes me discomfort with this article that you posted.
1. "Nike, O'Neill, Teva, and Playskool are all manufacturing goods spiked with the new anti-germ agents Microban and Microsafe."
My thoughts: Why would these large companies be "manufacturing" goods before the necessary approvals and testing are in place. This seems irrational too me.
2. "Manufacturers claim the treatments will kill mold, mildew and fungi as well as E.coli, Salmonella, staph and strep bacteria, but research has not definitively established how quickly and completely the work."
My thoughts: This seems like a contradictory statement. Which manufacturers are making the claims? Nike ect ect ect or the mystery company? Or both? Also if research hasn't definitively established how quickly/safely how DARE they proceed with the manufacturing stage?
Is this just amateurish journalism...~~ just "sounding good" to a target crowd of people who might not know how to ask the proper questions and make the proper rationale?
Maybe I am wrong, but these are the first thoughts that come to my mind.
Correct me if I am wrong...
