My next door neighbor tells a story similar to yours'. She just returned home to bury her grand father. She told me before she left that the doctors had bragged [her words ] that he had died several times on the operating table and they had brought him back each time. Well the fact that when death came on Christmas day he had spent the last few months after the operation in pain and constant depression had not been of any concern to these "Gods"
When my father was dying some years ago the doctor told my mother that he needed an operation in spite of the fact that they also said that he had about one week to live. My mother decided not to allow it. She later told me that the greedy bastard was so guilty he would not look her in the eyes when she questioned him about the need for said operation. It's sad that the medical profession who should be in the for front of compassionate change often [ with exceptions for sure ]is more about money.
