Speculation and research post only: ZULU & ZAP Parallels

I'm invested into ZULU(OTC:BB) (see zulugroup.com ) an online advertising company set to merge with ESVS (recently delisted from Nasdaq), a computer technology company. The merger agreement was inked early in the fall and could take effect within the next month.

ZULU has proprietary technology to do television quality commercials on the Internet. What is unusual about this merger is originally it was thought the merger would prove a leapfrog for ZULU onto Nasdaq. But the ESVS delisting has muddied the waters. Originally, 10 ZULU shares would net one ESVS share. Most ZULU holders thought this unfair, given ESVS didn't seem to bring anything to the table, except the Nasdaq listing.

But now that listing is gone. The current arrangement is for ZULU to now do a 10 for one reverse split, then have the merger take place with one share of ESVS then becoming one share of ZULU. The best we've been able to come up with for continuing with the ESVS merger, is that the next level of funding would be coming from the ESVS side. But no one knows where from?

About six months ago, ESVS gave up its Houston headquarters and moved into ZULU headquarters in LA. The two companies, though not formerly merged, have been doing business as one company ever since the headquarters consolidation.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. The combination, ZULU/ESVS, has just bought brandsforless.com (see brandsforless.com ). BFL is a viable ecommerce company describing itself as the e-department store of the Internet. It has a storelist of over 300 names. (do Alta Vista search: brandsforless (find the storelist))

ZULU has recently appointed a former Disney/Barnes & Noble executive as COO and it's expected a newly announced CEO might also come from Disney.

I guess why I'm writing is we are all mystified as to where the funding is coming from in order to put together this vertically integrated Internet company which ultimately will be called ZuluGroup.com. And given the mystery which apparently is surrounding ZAP, I thought I'd offer the above background in the possibility that SI sleuths might find some parallels between the above-named entities. The two-three week timetable for ZAP has a funny parallel with the course ZULU is on.

The big cheese behind ESVS is Richard Duckman. ESVS was formerly headquartered in Houston. Does ZAP have any Houston connectivity? Anyone from ZAP connected with Duckman? Please do let me know if anyone uncovers any connections to what is described above.

Thanks very much!
