I agree with you. I think it is possible to recognize the concerns and issues while at the same time recognizing that corruption is also an issue. The environmental groups have unfortunately become self serving political entities. They can still do good work but we have to be wary of their motivation. I think the bigger problem stems from the fact that politicians have the authority to make decisions. For the most part the politicians in question, be it the GNWT or federal, have never been to the area, don't know anything about mining, and couldn't care less. They want only to fill their pockets and the pockets of their friends and get re-elected. If that means stirring up trouble with environmentalists, etc, then they will do it. Once the appropriate politicians have been identified and paid or promoted the rest will go smoothly.

I think Aber will start to pick up now that tax loss season is over. It is pretty clear they have an economic mine ahead and that it is worth considerably more than the current market price.
