DELL offers new options on PCs

Online direct sales computer company, Dell Computer, has announced new options for its systems, including 256 megabytes of RAM, an LS-120 device for removable mass storage, and up to 12.8 gigabytes of hard disk drive space to its Latitude corporate notebook computers.
In the first quarter of next year, the Latitude notebook will also expect to offer a 4X DVD-ROM. "Dell understands that corporate customers demand reliable and durable products, relevant technology and managed transitions," said John Legere, president, Dell Computer, Asia Pacific.
Customers have the option to purchase of 256 MB of memory of HK$7,010 with upgrading options of 64 MB and 128 MB available. The availability of Imation's LS-120 SuperDisk provides 120 MB of removable mass storage. The LS-120 drive also doubles up as a conventional 3.5- inch floppy drive and is available at HK$1,558 (US$201) and comes with one 120 MB diskette. A second 6.4 GB hard disk drive is priced at HK$2,959 (US$382) combined with its internal 6.4 GB offers users a total of 12.8 GB. |
