Article in Bloomberg section in The Daily Record - Baltimore appeared right after the luncheon there WCTI plans to reshape the Internet search industry. The company combines superior technology, proven in over a decade's use by demanding researchers throughout the world, with a marketing model that generates profit. Searching is the Internet's most popular activity, although it often takes too long and you don't always get the sought after information. Searching is also a cumbersome task which creates both demand and need for improvement in the process. WCTI satisfies this need with public features and functionality that, until a short time ago, were available only to the world's most prestigious research institutions. The investment community recognizes that the steady flow of Internet red ink must someday stop. In the first quarte of 1999 WCTI will unveil a revenue model that is as advanced as its search technology. "The business community is ready for an Internet based business that makes money - WCTI will deliver!" stated CEO M. Daniel Lunt at the Discovery Expo in New York City on October 20th. WCTI's Internet search engine will function differently that the current inefficient technology. They will usa different indexing algorithm to harvest data. In addition, the multilingual search capability will be available to the Intranet - key for companies with overseas operations. WCTI will become a leader in the Internet search and content consumption business by establishing "content communities" that focus on the specific needs of special and general interest groups. Additionally, they will provide "next generation" tools and techniques that make it easier to search and browse Internet content. The simplistic, user friendly, multilingual search engine will revolutionize the industry. The Minnesota article and another Baltimore one I found were very similar to this one. Basically they reaffirmed the fact that this company would be $100 million company fairly quickly and intended to make money almost immediately. (sorta unique in this industry) Hope this helps.
