Online Buying Boosts Holiday Sales The Associated Press Monday, December 28 1998 07:47 AM EST NEW YORK (AP) -- Holiday sales grew an estimated 3 1/2 percent from last year, but a published report says online sales boosted an otherwise disappointing season. The Wall Street Journal says ONLINE SALES MORE THEN TRIPLED !!! from a year ago. The Journal says some retail Web sites were overwhelmed by holiday shoppers.
