Thats what I'm saying.

>>Are you saying you represented yourself and was awarded 400k? Why were the lawyers so conservative? Taking money the back door from insurance company? <<<

Cause they're all rat-bastards who wanted to make a quick 50 Grand with one or two phone calls.

Also, I could easily have been a rat bastard lawyer myself. Had people pushing me that way all my life. Said I had "the gift" I always took it as an insult.<g>

More importantly, I made it my job. Worked my ass off learning personal injury law.

Lawyers were also reticent to go after my "exacerbation of cancer" angle. I had made a good recovery, but had a recurrance about 5-6 months after the accident.

I believe that the stress of the accident caused the recurrance. Obviously healing all the broken parts didn't do much for my immune system.

Chubb grossly underestimated me and treated me like a child. Didn't go over well in the mediation, the arbitration and finally the trial. I had the Jury in tears. (I took alot of drama & speech classes in college<g>)

They loved the part about poor Jeffie finally getting his life back together after nearly dying and years of chemo then getting rearended and thrown 100 ft down the road. Felt kinda like Peter Pan for a split second, but that touchdown was a bitch<GGG>

Just call me Clarence Darrow ; )

PS- Gotta admit it didn't hurt that the accident was in Santa Monica, CA (the sue me state), the guy that hit me was driving a mercedes, and lived in Brentwood. (O.J.'s neighbor)
