Ira, Hp,&IBM are using the direct model also. I'm not sure about NEC. They also all use INTC chips. What has me worried is very simple. Last year when intc warned it turned out that cpq(their largest customer) was in trouble. Presently, intc has been warning on the upside, hence, the positive sentiment towards the box makers. This time their is a new wrinkle. Largest distributors are warning. May not be a problem, but my feeble mind isn't capable of understanding how just yet. This is why I lowered my guess on the earnings. maybe doesn't signal a problem as severe as last year but I think it will keep a damper on the enthusiasm for a little while.
