For the last 2 years plus Micron has been acknowledged as the low cost provider in Dram. TI stated this while they were still in the business and again when they sold out to Micron.Samsung,NEC and hitachi have been in this business by brute force ---their respective Goverments have subsided these companies inorder to keep this part of theirbusiness going to avoid having to pay high prices to foreign competitors and to perhaps force out foreign competition.TI stayed in the business to offset the power play but did nor master the yields and processes like MICRON did. Don't take my word for it look who has recently invested in Micron---why not Samsung.
