Hi John and everyone,
What a surprise day indeed! I really thought today was going to be the day that the stock correct itself, but still somehow convinced myself to buy at market during open and was about to have serious ingestions during lunch when it was down to .82. Came out of the hospital at 5pm and was mentally preparing myself to hear an automated quote that starts with "zero point seven/six...something", but instead it starts with ONE point something! And the volume is more than a million! What is going on??? Could someone check if Earth has gravity lately?? I thought in small-caps most people just want to take quick profits and get out in a few days? I am really glad that I haven't been hit with the correction yet, maybe the correction will be later. I have just talked myself out of selling another stock at a 30% loss and move it to OLEX, because, honestly, I don't feel too secure with the VERTICAL stock movement that we have seen in the past FIVE trading days. Double digit percentage increase everyday?! Does anyone else really know something that I don't know? Is there another thread somewhere that people are talking about OLEX finding gold in their grounds? I mean, the news and potentials that we have heard are great, the company is highly undervalued with its known reserves, but, do one think the traders, which I think there are a lot around OLEX, really care about it? I think a major correction will be imminent, unless, of course, all you wise ones out there can provide a logical explanation. Maybe the investment companies are accumulating? Maybe the word has spread and people are jumping in this long obscured winner? Do you think the media, people like WSJ or AOL, would pick up on what has been happening and give it some coverage? Where is Mr. Michael Harrison? I wonder what his input is on the recent movement. Don't forget that most of us were introduced to this stock by him and he had a great write-up on the company, the industry, and was very optimistic abou it. I re-read his article, which is at the beginning of this thread, and was again very fascinated by his thoughts and visions of this company. I do agree that the recent rocketing of this stock can be explained by the reason he gave, which, in summary, that good stocks in small caps usually take a long time to get exposed and hence it is fortunate for us small investors to pick a winner before it is picked up by the big boys. Sorry, I could not put it in the elegant way that Mr. Harrrison did but you get the gist. Ok, so maybe we are seeing a winner here, but I still would like to hear the opinions of some BEAR on this stock. C'mon bear, where are you? Let us chat! Tell us what is in your mind.
Before I forget, can someone post today's buys and sells with time stamp on it? I was wandering what kind of blocks were going through and when they occur. I don't intend to trade since I think I can never acquire that skill. Tried to do that with IOM and lost $800 in 2 weeks.
I kept on starring at today's chart, something I have done every night for the past few trading days, and was trying to figure out where that vertical line for daily trade limits will draw for tomorrow. Will it be higher up, which is still likely given the pattern today? Or will it drop like a rock with people profit-taking, but still hold at the .82 range? I kept on trying to figure out the stock market, and just when I thought I know how stocks trade, OLEX comes around and pull this one on me. I will not try to figure out the market again.
Essentially the stock has broken the $.90ish barrier today and is entering a new frontier. Next obstacle? The magic number is $1.34. Will we see it soon, like on Friday, or will it still be a barrier? One would have to make the call. My conclusion is, if one is thinking about buying into this stock then he/she should just get it now at the market price. Remember just two days ago one could still buy OLEX at .78, but I bet there were probably peole that thought the price is not right (which they may still be right), but in hindsight, that is such a great deal and one would wish he can get it at that price. Yeah, I will not try to figure out how stock market works.
I just wish that ISSM would move like OLEX too. Actually people over at that thread are starting to think that something is about to happen. Maybe someday we can all move over to that stock and make some profit too?
About what is in store with OLEX's Mr. Allen Burditt and its PR firm rep Mr. Tom Goolsby I only have my best guess and really have no idea what is next. One thing I do know though, Mr. Goolsby will really call you back if you leave a message with him. I was surprised to hear his voice on my machine when I came back tonight, because I thought those peole are not really care about us small invesors. Maybe Mr. Burditt is really at NYC to drive that OLEX truck back? Oh, by the way John, were you really serious when you suggest the answer on why trading is really slow during the opening? I burst out laughing at first, but was kind of embarrased when I realize that you may be serious? Actually, if I am not mistaken, it was the same situation this morning because at around 10:40am there were only 75,000 shares traded.
This thread still looks pretty quiet despite the stock activity. I still feel like talking to my self when I am thinking aloud here. Thanks all you people that have given me your helpful inputs. And for all you other people that have always been hiding and just popping in to read but never log on...POST SOMETHING! Share your views or your OLEX experiences or your inside info, do some technical and fundamental analysis, or just to drop by and say Hi! Or are you guys all trying to figure out how to trade this stock at this very moment? :) For one thing, if this thread if very lively, then people that are dropping by for the first time to get some info will probably think this is something they want to be a part of too!
I did say I will try to contain myself after yesterday and the day before's long post, and, ha ha...I should! :) But I don't think I am doing such a good job today again. :) Good luck investing everyone, as usual, and hopefully... uhmmm, the stock will rise again? Or is that too much to hope for? Oh, Just thought of something...If this stock falls tomorrow, then people will probably say "if you think something is too good to be true then it probably is" or "we should have taken profit at $XYZ!", but if it goes up tomorrow then peole will say "of course it will go up, this is a no brainer since the stock is vastly undervalued!" So, what will be your take?
