Good morning Mr. Smart,
I'm showing YHOO at 278. What is your next short sale price? I thought about going long this morning but decided against it. Oh well.

Should we expect any window dressing over the next couple of days? Or should that have already occurred?

I probably will not short at this stage but will wait until 1999. I think people that have seen gains in the stock will be reluctant to sell before year-end in an attempt to postpone tax obligations for another year. And I also very much enjoyed that Mary Meeker article posted a few days back...

Other positions:
Long AOL this morning. May consider holding long-term.
ORCL - the golden boy - continues to rock! I recommend this as a core long-term holding for anyone.
MNMD - another boat I missed. Continues to rocket.
NAVR - shows signs that it is ready to bust north in a big way. I have a LARGE position in this one.
CATP - been a great trading stock between 20 and 22 for several weeks. The options activity indicates to me that smart money is betting on a breakout. I'm long CATP and short Jan 25 calls against my shares.

And, finally, UBID. Although we can't short it because brokers can't find any shares, we can short its brother, MALL. MALL is up 10 today and ready to collapse again. I went short moments ago.

gotta go
