Joe,

I'm not sure what you mean by an open 17-pin slot. If you have an open slot, it's either a 16-bit ISA or a 32-bit PCI slot. In any case, you will need a video card for the second monitor, if you don't already have one.

I have not yet done this myself, but I've got a boatload of cheap computers and computer parts coming from OnSale over the next week or so, and this is one thing I plan on playing with.
