Thanks for the thoughtful analysis. I have been reading your contributions to this and other telecom threads and know you are far more expert than I on these matters.

Perhaps I should state my thinking this way. Though WCOM and WCII may not be, in themselves, 'fundamental enablers', I believe that what they own or control (right of ways, backbones, frequencies) will be an essential part of any end-to-end bandwidth solution that is likely to emerge in the coming years.
