If MSFT stock goes up significantly, I do not expect the company to push the stock down at the earnings release. Why? In the last little while, other companies have outperformed MSFT and may continue to do so over the short term. I don't think they want to be considered a laggard in this market compared to the competitors. I think we will continue to see a shift in their forward looking statements --that is, they will more positive--- and this well help shoot the stock up. I think the old days of trying to talk the stock by the company are over for the time being.
