>>>i read that w98 saves time by starting apps up to 38% faster than w95. any opinions? just advertising, or some truth?<<<

I have Win98 on a P2 450, runs fine, and I have Win98 on a P120 runs slow. My P120 feels like a P90. If your running Win95 on anything under a P166 I would stick with Win95. There are updated patches for Win95 to bring it up to Win95 OSR2 (last version of Windows 95) OSR2 was only avalible if you bought a new PC, it was never in the store.
