HOUSTON (Dec. 7) BUSINESS WIRE -Dec. 7, 1998--

ComputerLiteracy.com, leading online retailer of

technical and business information resources begins
selling "Around the Web in 80 Minutes" online,

through two retail stores
GK Intelligent Systems (AMEX: GKI) today announced that its Internet training software "Around the Web in 80 Minutes," is now available through ComputerLiteracy.com, a leading online retailer of technical and business books, manuals and training materials for technical professionals.

Computer Literacy is now selling Around the Web in 80 Minutes via its world-class online store at www.computerliteracy.com, and from two retail outlets in Silicon Valley, Calif.

"We're thrilled that Computer Literacy - which has a reputation for delivering the kinds of training and resource materials that the nation's leading technology professionals want - is offering Around the Web in 80 Minutes," said Gary Kimmons, GKI president and CEO. "This shows the appeal our product has for even the most sophisticated technology consumers."

GKI is also negotiating with other retailers and distributors who had their first opportunity to see the commercial version of Around the Web in 80 Minutes during COMDEX. Distributors expressed interest in the software and in GKI's plans for further products.

"We chose to make Around the Web in 80 Minutes available to our customers because it can be used by a wide range of people interested in technology," said Dennis Capovilla, vice president of sales and business development for Computer Literacy. "We feel it's important to offer our customers intelligent training materials that allow them to quickly access the information they need, without wasting time reviewing subjects they already understand."

Around the Web in 80 Minutes, a CD-ROM-based, multimedia teaching tool, is the first consumer software to dynamically assess the skills of individual users and continually adjust the instruction to the student's needs.

The software trains users of any experience level to take full advantage of the Internet. It uses artificial intelligence to customize itself to the learning style of users. And the software continually interacts with students to measure their progress - and move them onto new material as soon as they achieve mastery.

The product's introduction is being supported with a national advertising campaign.

Around the Web in 80 Minutes is the first consumer product based on GKI's Smart One(R) technology, which combines artificial intelligence, multimedia technology and advanced instructional techniques to provide results significantly superior to traditional computer-based training.

More information about the software is available from the company's web site, www.gkis.com.
