We're not in disagreement. People who do manual labor are most disadvantaged by raising the retirement age as they are doing. It's more difficult for them to work later in their years. Perhaps the Depression and the crash in the financial system had something to do with insurance companies not being able to meet obligations. It was originally a tax of only 2% of income.
