look in the mobo manual and find
the primary and secondary IDE controller sockets on the
mobo, then follow the cables.


Got the machine. Followed the cables. The controller setup is correct with Quantum on IDE 1 master position, IBM on IDE 1 slave position, cdrom on IDE 2 master position.

Now to find out where NT and w98 are. Since the monitor for this machine has not arrived yet I'll have to hook up to the Macs monitor. I may need a different cable.

I agree with Seans initial impression of the Supermicro case. I would have been displeased with anything smaller. Jons wiring needs a bit of tightying up but everything appears to be there.

Looks like Jon's suffering from the altitude
likely in combination with mucho livations<g> for a minite there I thought my understanding of controller terminology needed more work <g>
