Before taking any action based on the "VIEWPOINT" editorial in the UNIX Review (2/97 - pg. 5), I recommend reading the 1/5/97 New York Times Article by Lawrence M. Fisher entitled "Silicon Graphics seeks Wall Street believers'. I feel it's a far more balanced and objective assessment of SGI. While being neither optimistic nor pessimistic about SGI's future, it does present insight into the company's liabilities and assets. It also contradicts some of the claims made in the UNIX Review Article (such as SGI's vision being limited to graphics and super-computing).
