That's where DRIPs can be a little more problematic. You can have DRIP-IRAs but they usually have to be set up for each equity, and it may cost a separate annual maintenance fee. Also, registering a share out of an IRA is going to be treated as a withdrawal, I think, and there will be tax consequences. Better to see what Schwab might charge for a purchase of one share registered out; perhaps they'll offer a reduced commission for a single share. Good luck!
