Mark,

I am not telling him what to do. I am trying to understand a philosophy/belief system. If it doesnt make sense to me, what am I to do? I am not saying you are wrong for believing it. I am trying to understand why you believe it. I certainly mean NO disrespect, but everytime I find soething that I dont understand, the answer, "dont tell God what to do", doesnt explain it to me, and makes me think there is no answer.

Mark, there is an answer, it is just that i am not relating it right. And I know you well enough you are not trying to "talk" me out of my belief. I will TRY to do a better job of any explanation, but remember, I am human too, ok?

I think I understand what you are saying sort of like when we were kids and we are told NO and we asked Why not. "Cause i said so" was the usual answer in my house. (Rule of law you see) :o)

About fear. I really think we (esp. in america) think we are pretty tough. But when it comes to holiness, look at what Isaiah has to say.

Isa. 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Why was Isaiah saying he was "undone" ?? Do you think he had fear? He in the presence of perfection did not want what? for God to see his uncleanness?. Did God not love Isiah because Isaiah was afraid? Do you think God was sitting on the throne laughing because Isa. was afraid? I think it just natural for me to be fearful/in awe/reverence for such Holiness of the Father. THAT is one reason why I love God even more because for ALL His Holiness He still provided a WAY for me to have a loving relationship with Him.

I hope this helps some, and I bet by now others have joined in.
