[Bottom of the Pile]

Pat and Jim,

Could you expand on the "bottom of the pile" remark regarding
the ADI/AWRE chipset. I have a lot of respect for ASND and the MAX TNT seems like a great product. UUNET just bought 150 of them and the CEO on the ASND conference call said they're seeing tremendous interest from customers. Looks like the TNT is going to be a big hit and if I'm not mistaken those ADSL line cards going into the TNT will use the ADI/AWRE chipset. Is the TNT not a super DSLAM? If this is the case I would consider the ASND/PAIR(HDSL)/ADI/AWRE(ADSL) alliance to be a heavy force. I'm not a techie so I'm sorry if I've messed up the facts. Would appreciate your comments...
