I just read the latest Red Chip Review tonight, and there are several fairly glowing things about Ampex from Marc Robins. He says in talking about hidden assets: "My favorite example of ethereal value is the 1,200 patents AMPEX (AXC, $9 3/4) still maintains. You can't say this is not a treasure trove. The company is recognizing about $2 million per quarter in settlement payments for infringements by those who "borrowed" their technology." He also has a further writeup in his "Portfolio Watch" section, of his `favorite picks' and puts a "BUY" on it. Rick
