Institutional ownership is what I was getting at. DBCC does have a greater float, but it's mitigated by strong hands holding a bulk of it, which is why it will get more bang than one may think for a stock with the float DBCC has. ie. when looking at stocks, look at the "true" float ie. float net of institutional ownership

I'm looking at a Cdn co to be acq'd. It's float is 30 million, but if you do some digging you find over 50% is held in institutional hands.
I'm making a lot on this buyout so far, but want to double grand slam it. Liquidity is the risk. If deal doesn;t go through people may sell, but co is worth at least 60-70% more than current price. Food for thought.
