how the %$#@* does one get into BIOS to see what is installed where....

The instructions for entering the bios will flash by early in the boot sequence. It varies from bios to bios. It may say to enter setup hit F1, or del, or in the case of Adaptec SCSI bios "ctrl A".

My computer boots so fast I can not read the instructions any more. The power saving features cause the monitor to sequence through a low power mode during boot..exactly the time the instructions are presented. I just hit keep hitting "del" early in the sequence to enter the AMI bios on my machine.

If you have the mobo manual it should be indicated somewhere. It is probably the same for most Award bioses..all I have is AMI.
