note that bh does offer its shares in 1/100th chunks (each chunk therefore being priced somewhere in the low triple digits), for fear of third-party profiteers all too eager to fill this niche and skim a little off the top.

and i still think that keeping intc's price above 100 will not keep out small-time speculators. ANYONE can afford a hundred bucks or so, and all they need to buy is one share. it's simply not true that people only buy in 100 share blocks. especially speculators, who expect to make such a huge killing that the slight premium for odd lots is insignificant in their minds. this is different from bh, with which many potential investors can't even afford a single share (it's somewhere around 10 or 15 thousand per share, i think).
