Hi Timothy. Can you lead me to the sources or comment on what
has caused you to believe that ADSL is "dead in the water". It
sounds like an extremely promising technology in that it utilizes
phone lines and doesn't require infrastructure investment (HFC) and installation time spent by the cable companies and yet
still offers 6MBps downstream and 640KBps upstream (not nearly as
important). Users of cable modems will have to share the bandwidth
(although there's plenty). I like HP, Bay, and Motorola as makers
of cable modems and as such, stocks, but ADSL intrigues me and I
would actually be thrilled if I was convinced that cable modems,
not ADSL, would dominate the future.
