Interesting you bring that up. I just got through perusing Barrons(Dec 28 issue.) There is an article on Page 41 about how the Internet craze has overlooked the telephony companies that are working on using the Net for long distance phone service.( some possible good small companies listed.) Anyway, they mention Qwest and Level 3. Basically, they are predicting a profit next year for Qwest of .35 cents, which makes it the only one that is making a profit.

Referring to your comment about a buy out, todays IBD ( dec 28 issue) has an article on Page A8 that discusses the buy out possibilities of the telecoms. The big problem appears to be regulation as so far regulators have barred the Bells from offering long distance service until they get more local market competition. however, by late 99 they may get FCC approval. If so, IBD mentions Qwest, Sprint, and IXC being bought by Bellsouth.

Either way, I think this stock is the cream of the crop. Its going to get their network in at least 9 months ahead of anyone else, they have very lucritive deals set up, and they have the blessing of Bill the Great. So I agree, this stock could easily see 90's or more. Can you say stock split?
