Bob,

I always use at least two {sometimes more} relateds. The relateds are target stock's industry and sector indices. When I started noticing some inconsistencies, I stopped using general market indices, such as SPX, NYA, RUT, COMP, INDU, etc. So far, every new net that I have constructed has outperformed it's predecessor that used a general market index.
