Tom Stone and All.: Re "by what seems like delays" That is a good way to put. it.Actually from what i am told, NVX has been in close touch with the FDA on a regular basis. No question that a lot goes on between the FDA and the applicant that the public never hears about. Also the public, you and I and everyone else, way over simplify the FDA approval process in our minds so our expectations are really distorted.
A good example of such distortions and lack of understanding just came up when Lederle announced that they had FDA approval last week.
The shorts tooted that announcement like it was a big achievement and win for Lederle over NVX and they truly believed it.The fact that Lederle was only asking for the right to extend the use of an all ready approved vaccine would certainly say that the task that the FDA has do is relatively minor compared to approving a new vaccine. That is the way the analyst who follow NVX saw it , so the Lederle announcement was a non event to them.
It was just another indication to me of the shorts lack of understanding of the process and a blatant attempt by them to manipulate the minds of their followers.
Right now NVX is on track for getting FDA approval and indeed I believe what is being said "ANY DAY NOW". The literal interpretation of that is the correct one. Today, tomorrow, next week, next month, etc. Try to pin anybody down and you will really just get at best, a big guess, that they think you want to here. I tried it, I got February. Which is perhaps more probable than tomorrow but who knows?
