My husband and I would both be dead if we were aborigines. My husband in his teens from appendicitis and me, in my twenties, from pneumonia. So I prefer here and now. I guess science has been our savior. Then there was the smallpox and polio I never got- I must say I am thankful for that too. Science creates problems but I prefer being alive, with the help of science, and able to face them, than to being dead for the lack of science.
