I don't remember the jingles but I remember how much my brothers and I used to enjoy my parents' reading them out to us. These signs were great! They served as a diversion from our normal fighting with each other on the back seat.
I know of two books that have been written on the Burma-Shave signs. Without looking, I am not sure who sells them but the titles are:
_Burma-Shave: The Rhymes, the Signs, the Times_ by Vossler, Bill
_Verse By the Side of the Road, The Story of the Burma-Shave Signs and Jingles_ by Rowsome, Frank, Jr.
Note: The Rowsome book has all the jingles
Since we are reminiscing, anyone remember the Ipana commercial? I used to love that cute, little beaver: "Brusha, brusha, brusha. Here's the new Ipana. Brusha, brusha, brusha. Its dandy for your teeeeeth."
