DynamicWeb Achieves Internet-to-EDI Subscriber Milestone

Strategic Relationship with Rocky Mountain Internet Provides Turn-Key Internet-EDI Solution for Trading Partners of DynamicWeb Customers

FAIRFIELD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 1998-- DynamicWebâ„¢ Enterprises, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DWEB - news), a developer of Internet electronic commerce and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) business solutions, today announced that more than 350 suppliers are currently subscribing to its EDIxchangeBuy service to conduct Internet electronic commerce with their EDI-enabled customers. During the fourth quarter of 1998, the company has added more than 250 DIxchangeBuy subscribers.

To enhance the effectiveness of the EDIxchangeBuy roll-out, DynamicWeb is leveraging its strategic relationship with Rocky Mountain Internet (NASDAQ: RMII - news) that offers subscribers advantaged rates and easy start-up. DynamicWeb customers offering EDIxchangeBuy to their suppliers include: Linens 'N Things (NYSE: LIN - news), Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD - news), Service Merchandise (NYSE: SME - news) and Southern New England Telephone (NYSE: SBC - news).

''While all eyes are focused on the success of online consumer retailing this holiday season, we're experiencing a surge in business-to-business Internet e-commerce,'' said Steve Vanechanos, Jr., chairman and CEO of DynamicWeb. ''While many once thought that the Internet would compete with EDI, the Web is actually allowing it to reach its full potential by offering EDI access to companies that don't have the computing infrastructure for a direct EDI link.''

EDIxchangeBuy is a part of DynamicWeb's EDIxchange Enterprise Suite which consists of two Internet-based electronic commerce solutions - EDIxchangeBuy and EDIxchangeSell - that leverage the global reach of the Web to provide EDI access to trading partners of DynamicWeb's customers that are not EDI capable. DynamicWeb deploys a secure, customized extranet that allows trading partners to enjoy the advantages of electronic commerce at a fraction of the cost associated with the implementation of traditional EDI Systems. These trading partners now require only a desktop computer with Internet access to enjoy the advantages of EDI.
