My parents weren't bad about that stuff. They were immigrants whose early years centered around Friday night, Saturday night "socials" or parties or music at the local pub.

Their idea of music wasn't from the 50s or 40s it was Irish pub music so they had a sense of the excitement in the music we preferred in the 60s.

My mother was not nuts about the beard and hair, though, I will say that. Me, I don't have any major complaints as yet about my own kids and everyone else's kids are their problem.

I saw your wine thread; there was something I became quite good at during the early 70s. I couldn't tell a pinot grigio from an early December ThunderBird at this point, though.
