I don't know the area that much -- you just hit a hot button or two <g>

I don't know who the shakers and movers in congress are or even what the latest rage is -- I'm lucky if I can bat 30% on knowing some of the acronyms. I do know that there is a lot of legal wrangling about what interconnection means right now for the local facilities -- I'd liked to have made a contribution in our office, but our office is more uh, socially oriented shall we say?

I think one of the largest mistakes that has been made is when our state saw the huge overearnings going on and instead of getting larger and larger rate reductions from these companies, they were let off the hook if they would accelerate investment in 'preferred technolgies.' I can't say this too loudly around my office, but I think all these folks make terrible central planners and the telcos, because of the rapidly dropping per unit prices for their services, have continually made a bundle more than the people thought who drew these sweetheart deals up.
