please reply as i feel this data is crucial

i read yesterday in a survey of engineers/computer industry specialists that they expect java to represent 35% of industry in two years (1998) --- survey was from 96'

is this accurate and if so- wouldn't these licensing fees then represent an enormous boon to sun botton line?
