Allan - RE: Dell does offer at no charge unlimited tech support with no time limits, which was the principal reason I bought a Dell over a Compaq. I asked about support for Dimension products - here was the response from DELL. Warranty Coverage All Dell Dimension systems come standard with a three-year limited warranty, including one year of Dell's award winning Guaranteed Next-Business-Day Onsite Service and two years of Next-Business-Day Parts Delivery Service. Warranty upgrade options are available for up to five years. DELL, CPQ, MSFT, and virtually every high tech player offers unlimited access to their 'knowledge base' - the quality varies from vendor to vendor, but both DELL and CPQ are easy to use and comprehensive. Is this what you meant? In any event, I can find almost no difference between either warranty or free support between CPQ and DELL.
