If Intel went away, AMD will take over even though it is a distant distant second. If AOL went away then Prodigy will take over even though it is a distant distant....distant who knows.

AOL management has gone through it once. They own over a million telephone lines (according to Joe Kernan of CNBC), they are the 3rd largest portal, behind Yahoo and Netscape. The hole that needs to be filled is cable lines. So AOL is way up there and the SP500 is wise to recognize that.

And off course since it is the WEB GORILLA, everybody including myself has made money. I hope the same for you also if you have invested in AOL
