Marengi gets the job if the numbers are good

The current Novell management track appears to me as follows.

They have decided that large enterprise computing is their cup of tea.
They are looking for good Q1 numbers to surprise the street and crown Marengi.
Marengi will then remold the BOD.
They will surrender the low end of the NOS market to NT and emphasize NDS management of mixed servers.
They will emphasize that they no longer compete with NT.
I haven't read the reviews but Kayak looks like a different licensing scheme for IntranetWare rather than a dynamic NT competitor.
Within 6-9 months Marengi will be disappointed with Groupware.
Novell will then surrender this market to Netscape and Corel.
Marengi will then downsize the company and concentrate all of the companies resources on large enterprise computing.
The company will be more profitable but much smaller.
Sorry for this bleak scenario, but Novell management hasn't presented a strategy for the 3.X end of the market.
I still think the Q1 profits will surprise the street.
