Bob, I'am suprised you asked the following question to Dave in the same context as someone with an interest in employment along the lines you and Dave were discussing. Your question was:
" What are living conditions like near the mine. "
The correct person for the job would not have this as a question. They would be in country long term, as in 6 months to 2 years to get the mine producing to a level equal to the high expectations demanded by Dave, and assured by the new employee. This person would only need to know a few things upfront: other personnel, tools, where he/she will sleep and eat. For this unique situation as Dave outlined, this person would work 6 days a week double shift, and on the seventh day, a single shift. And after constant check points and milestones are obtained to Dave's satisfaction, this person's reward will be in money, self esteem and high status in the mining community. Most likely this person has already obtained all three and wants another goal to obtain, and is available to leave and live in a far away land.
Its like that question:
" How much does this Roll Royce automobile cost ? "
Answer: If you need to know, then you cannot afford it.
Bob, you can still afford MGR if you sell your other stuff for cash.
