Richie: Ah!! But, this time all the PC stocks are stalled! Yes, even DELL. Look, the scenario of the past 2 weeks is perfectly logical. Pretend you don't own CPQ ... The stocks that have done the best this year are the internets. Although I think that window dressing is a joke - it is done! And done BIG TIME. Many talking heads are predicting a BIG CORRECTION for the internets in '99 - many say Q1. Soooooo therefore, if I were very "cagey" I would already own these internut stocks - if not I'd be scramblin' to buy. I would know that these lagging managers (read Bill Meehan?) have to try to "fool" their clients into thinking that they really know what they're doing - so they have to buy the internets. But I don't think these managers are "comfortable" with the internets because they have no idea how to justify owning them (P/E people!). So everyone thinks that after the first of the year, these stocks will correct. I agree. Then the money will go into stocks like CPQ. I think the cagey small traders will start selling late tomorrow - better price than Monday. Compaq will become a "safe" internet play - maybe through AV news? RS still 93. A/D rating still A. Still in the upper range of the base. Where are those pom poms! K
