Scumbria:

Spec is a synthetic benchmark which is designed to run out of the L1 cache. System level benchmarks,

Scumbria, please check your data.. the working data set for SpecINT is huge and was designed NOT to fit into any L1, L2 or L3 cache.. this change happened when the 21064 came out with (at the time) huge caches and multiple levels... Intel and other CPU vendors (IBM, MOT, etc.) freaked and they changed it so that the data set for SPEC is MANY MANY MEGS..

Regards,

Steve
